What's currently available at Clucking Good Poultry?

Unsexed day old Chinese Silkie Chicks hatched December 4 & we have new hatches once a week.  If you're contemplating buying these, you will need to organise a brooder box, a heat lamp & bulb, a waterer, and some Laucke Chick Starter crumble, all of which are available locally from Sciberras Stockfeeds at Freemans Reach.  They will not survive without a heat source until around 6 weeks of age.  After that time, they can go outdoors.

We do have quite a number of backorders for our silkies & our incubators went on unusually late this year, because we were floating around on the Greek Islands instead of breeding chooks!  We're endeavouring to provide chicks for everyone who has expressed interest.

We have a couple of adult Silkie cockerels available for sale, but no adult hens.

Our first 2019/20 batch of Indian Runner Ducklings has totally sold out within 2 days of hatching!  Another 40-50 due around 15 December, just in time for Christmas.

We have lots of Indian Runner Duck eggs, available, for those people with incubators!  Janoel 24 incubators are easy to use and available pretty cheaply on Ebay, usually between $120 and $140.  $25/dozen pickup or $40 express posted.

We have for sale now unsexed @ $10 ea (all day old to week old, will need heat):
  • Belgian D'uccle chicks. Millefleur, black, blue, lavender. Some may wind up mottled or splashed (quite a prized colour!) after their first moult.
  • Pekins - duckwing, white, black, lavender.  Also some colours not yet discernable.
  • Frizzles!  Both Frizzled Pekins and some offspring from our gorgeous white Sizzle rooster (Frizzled Pekin x Chinese Silkie).

Next chicken hatch on Dec 16th includes: ($10 ea unsexed unless stated otherwise)
  • Sizzles (frizzled pekin x silkie)
  • Frizzled purebred Pekins
  • Standard feathered Pekins
  • Chinese Silkies
  • Golden Sebrights (not many) - $20 ea unsexed at day old
  • Polish Bantams, gold laced (not many) - $20 ea unsexed at day old
  • Possibly a Dorking or two, if they hatch OK.  $20 ea unsexed at day old,   Some adolescent cockerels for sale @ $40
  • Lots and lots of Belgian D'uccles - black, blue, lavender, millefleur.
